Internship Overview:We are seeking
highly motivated, outgoing individuals who are passionate about college athletics, the university they attend, are networked within the campus community, and have curiosity about NIL. As a Brand Ambassador Marketing Intern with Five Star Fans, you will play a key role in promoting our brand and engaging with our target audience on your college campus. We need YOU to be our voice on campus! This internship offers hands-on experience in sports marketing and sales, providing you with valuable skills and insights from company and industry leaders. This is an unpaid internship, however we offer commission and incentives based on performance, with opportunity for hire as the company grows. College class credit available based on university requirements.
About Us: Five Star Fans is fan engagement sports technology company focused on the recruitment phase of an athletes’ journey as well as retainment at their current university. College sports fans buy or earn internal currency called “likes” and apply them to a university listed within an athletes profile. Five Star Fans focuses on gamifying the recruiting process for fans, offers in-game rewards for both fans and athletes, and allows athletes to monetize their recruiting and playing time directly from fans.
Five Star Fans is committed to becoming the most exciting and engaging digital college sports platform and amplifying the college sports experience for fans by redistributing power to athletes and fans. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality fan engagement and supporting an athlete’s competitive career.
Key Responsibilities: * Act as a representative of Five Star Fans on your college campus at various events as needed and across online platforms to promote brand awareness and drive engagement.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas and initiatives to enhance brand visibility and customer signups by organizing and executing marketing campaigns including but not limited to social media outreach, promotional and partnership events, contests and giveaways, on-campus brand activations, etc.
* Create and share compelling content (e.g., social media posts, blog articles, videos, sports media message boards) that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
* Conduct market research and gather feedback from consumers to help inform marketing strategies and product development.
* Weekly reporting to share activity, account signup sand best practices with brand ambassadors from other universities.
Requirements:
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Sales or a related field
* Passion for sports and college athletics
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, etc.). Some basic knowledge of content creation tools (Canva, etc.) is a plus.
